Our rate structure is designed to strike a balance between simplicity and flexibility. We have no hidden fees, and we bend over backwards to ensure that you get value for your hard-earned money.

Notes:
- Set-up fee is waived in most cases unless you need us to set up your initial email addresses or any web applications for you. There are no set-up fees to upgrade your account.
- MySQL.

Domain parking:
All domains registered but not assigned to a hosting plan include one POP email account on your domain and a parking page at no extra charge. (Coming soon: web-based contact form, parking page templates, and a WYSIWYG editor so that you can customise your parking page.)
WordPress hosting:
WordPress is a mature content-management and blogging system that is used by more than two million websites worldwide. NinerNet is developing a specialised hosting environment for WordPress-based websites and blogs, and currently offers individualised WordPress hosting paired with the webONE (and higher) hosting plan.

Virtual private servers (VPS)
Virtual private servers give you all of the resources of your own dedicated server at a fraction of the cost. You have access to everything from the operating system up, while having fixed resources from the host physical server dedicated to your own virtual server.

- Free domain with annual payment of hosting fees:

Domain features:

All domains except .za and .zm domains include access to a web-based interface to control your domain (contact information and nameservers) and (subject to availability by TLD) domain locking to keep your domain safely in your hands and prevent inadvertent changes that could bring your domain down.
WHOIS privacy for your domain (to keep your name, address, phone number and email address out of the public look-up facility for domain registrations) is also available for
$9.00 per year.

We strive to ensure that the plans above meet the needs of most of our clients. If you find that you need extra resources, but don't want to upgrade to the next level, these are our fees for the most common extra resources.

Web applications
To enhance security on your server, we offer custom installation of many common web applications -- things like content-management systems, blogs, shopping carts, newsletter lists, wikis, forums, photo galleries, etc. If you are technically savvy, you may very well choose and install many of these applications yourself, but if you'd rather we do it, we will, and we'll also take care of upgrading the software when there are security updates.

Managed hosting and maintenance contracts
While we provide you with web-based tools that simplify the process of managing your web, email and database hosting, experience has show us that some people prefer that we just run the whole lot based on email or verbal instructions from them, or even provide further services to keep things running smoothly for them. We're more than happy to provide these services as an added layer to the standard hosting plans. Think of this as having your own IT employee on staff, but without the salary and benefits!

Notes:
*The following points apply to managed hosting and maintenance contracts:
- Minimum commitment: New or upgraded maintenance contracts are offered for a minimum period of three months.
- Carry over: Unused services cannot be carried over from one month to the next. Subject to the minimum commitment referred to above, we will happily downgrade or even cancel your maintenance contract if you find that you no longer need some or all of the services offered at your current level.
- "Updates": An "update" is generally defined as changes to an existing web page that do not substantially alter the content of that page or that do not require layout, formatting or coding changes.
- Examples included: Corrections of spelling mistakes, rewording, replacing images with images of the same dimensions, and even the addition or removal of large blocks of text if those changes don't involve changes to the layout or formatting of the page.
- Examples not included: Redesigns or reviews, major changes to the presentation of a page, changes to existing or the addition of new programming code, creation of new images, and adding or removing images that will require attention to be paid to the changed layout of the page.
- "Requests": We ask that you prepare your change order carefully and send it to us in one email. That email will constitute one "request", and each request may include changes to a number of pages up to and including the number of pages remaining in your allotment for that month. Requests or updates in excess of the number included in your plan are charged at our hourly rate of $40, or you may upgrade to a higher plan subject to our minimum three-month commitment.
- Example based on the manageONE plan: You can make 2 requests to have up to 4 pages updated each month. This means you can make 1 request to have 4 pages updated, or 2 requests, one to have 1 page updated and the other to have 3 pages updated, or 2 requests, each to have 2 pages updated. Requests in excess of the 2 included, or updates in excess of the 4 included are charged at our hourly rate of $40.
In addition to also offering managed hosting and maintenance contract plans tailor-made to your specifications, minor variances to the above are possible and at the discretion of NinerNet. For example, even though we emphasise that
maintenance contracts are for the
maintenance of
existing web pages, under certain circumstances (especially on template-driven websites) we may consider including the creation of new pages if the time necessary to do so isn't excessive (in comparison to maintaining existing pages) or doesn't involve the necessity to spend time working on layout, formatting or coding. We can't include an exhaustive list of exceptions here, but it shall suffice to say that we are flexible and interested in your satisfaction, and so will work with you to get the job done.
